My son LOVES this food. I think commercial baby foods is too bland but I don't have the time to make my own. When I saw this, I knew my son had to try it. It's delicious and while he's not too keen at first, he's yet to turn down any of the flavors. It is a little on the thicker side (especially the Sweetie Tahiti- think tapioca in texture) but nothing a little bit of formula can't thin out. Great part is, it's all something that's edible! In fact, I finished off the Que Pasa Calabasa earlier when my son didn't. Tasted like baked acorn squash my family does for holidays!

I got these for my daughter after she was 7 months old. I learned a lesson with my older son, whom I weaned on bland baby food (both store bought and homemade -- we're vegetarian so there's not too much variety), and from 18mos to 3 1/2 he basically didn't try anything new beyong mac n cheese, spaghetti, and pizza. I read that the time to introduce new flavors and textures is from 8-12 mos, so I knew I had to act fast on my daughter.
These were the only baby foods I found on the web that uses real spices. Other gourmet baby foods have fresh ingredients, and occasionally some vanilla, or cinnamon, added, but these have really complex spices like dill, cilnatro, ginger and cardamom.
I agree with the previous reviewer that the Dahl is the strongest, with cumin. My daughter didn't like it at first (funny, because she's half-Indian), but after a few tries she loved it. She also needed a few attempts at Tokyo Tum Tum (with soy and ginger). She LOVED the Baby Borscht, as well as the Sweetie Tahiti and Que Pasa Calabasa. If you're vegetarian, these foods are great because several of them -- the Mexican and Indian flavors in particular -- have lentils and beans (garbanzos) for protein.
I ordered two variety packs and went through them in about a month. Then when I went to order more they were (are) out of stock. But these foods inspired me to start pureeing stuff we eat all the time -- I've now given my daughter refried beans, stuffed shells, and polenta, and she loves all of it! I hope that she'll end up a less picky eater than my son (who interestingly, not wanting to be outdone by his little sister, has started getting more adventurous himself!).

My 7 month old didn't like any of the organic baby food we bought, and I felt very limited when I had to fix her something to eat in a hurry. I found this brand in our local Haggen (in Bellingham, WA) and she can't get enough of it! It doesn't have any salt, sugars or sweeteners, yet it bursts with flavor in a way I have never tasted any other baby food do in the past! I nurse my baby and have always eaten a very varied and somewhat spicy variety of food, so I think she is fairly used to her food tasting of something. The only downside is that they only have six flavors!! I pay $1.19 per jar in the store so I do think they are somewhat pricey here. Try getting your local merchants to offer it in their stores. I absolutely recommend this baby food to all my friends with babies!

I am trying to expose my son to all different flavors while also trying to ensure that he eats healthy organic foods. I came across this brand and decided to give it a try. At the time my son was 8 months old and was eating 2nd foods or home made purees. I cannot recommend this brand enough!! All the flavors are interesting and tasty. Nothing hot or spicy - simply flavorful and savory. I was dubious about a couple of the flavors (Baby Borscht??) but amazingly - he has really taken to all of these! In fact - he is now 11 months old and went through a "food strike" about 2 weeks ago that lasted 5 days. The "Baby Dahl" flavor was what enticed him to come back to solid foods. My husband and I have both tasted all of these and think they are very good. I have even gotten great ideas for home made baby foods from these. There is no added sugar or chemicals and all ingredients are organic. I have to say that we did get a couple of looks of "surprise" from his daycare teachers when we first sent him but he likes the flavors so that's all that matters.
I really wish that this baby food was available on the East Coast. You can go to their website to see if they serve your area. For now though - it was convenient and easy to get it via Amazon.com. The jars were packed very well and there were no issues with broken jars, etc. Overall I was very happy with this product and I know my son is too because he loves to eat it!

I got a case for my 10 month old as a GIFT and he loved every single last jar!!! he loved it so much ive called our local organic market to see if they can carry it!! i make 90% of my son's food but i will go out of my way to feed and introduce him to these global flavors. My 4 year old son is the worlds pickiest eater and i really wanted to expose my youngest baby to as many flavors as i can, in hopes to avoid another picky eater... and so far so good! This is the only jar food product i will buy now!! this company combines flavors that are so SAVORY and NOT SPICY!! plus i LOVE that everything is gluten free, organic, and made with no sugar!!
