These are such a wonderful alternative to the non-organic, sugar filled ones you find in your basic stores. The melts are very tasty (I have tried them) but are not all the same size so for new solid food eaters you may need to watch which sizes they are given. We started using this product after we learned that Organic Similac contained sugar and was in the process of being banned in the EU. I believe that this product uses lactose as the sugar needed to break down the milk-based protein. We knew that we wanted an organic milk-based product to supplement breast feeding when necessary and this one seemed to have the best ingredients. So far our babies seem to tolerate it quite well. No excessive gas or allergies that we can tell after about 8 weeks of using this brand. Also the color is more like my milk and it doesn't stain or have an off-putting smell like other formulas we've seen.

We've been using this formula since our little one was three months old and she's now almost ten months. She does get constipated sometimes, but I don't know if that's the formula or the solid foods or just her system. We tried Similac Organic prior to this and that was VERY constipating! This is much better and not as grainy as Similac. The cheapest way to buy this is through Amazon on their subscribe and save program. Of course conventional is cheaper, but I don't want to compromise my infant's health by giving her formula that can have pestisides, hormones, and genetically modified ingredients! I would definitely recommend this product for anyone using formula.

My son loves these. Feeds himself easily with the package. I tasted this and it is yummy. I wish I'd found them earlier (he's completely on solid foods but we use these for meals on the run).



Make sure your child likes the flavor before purchasing the whole case. My son is not so crazy about the purple carrot one (its tart). I wish there were more vegetable options.



Also our favorite meal was food mixed with cereal and that defeats the purpose of the packaging. I also feel guilty about the trash. Can you recycle the containers? (I don't think so)

We fed our youngest all three of the HappyBellies - starting with the Brown Rice then MultiGrain and ended with the Oatmeal which I think was her favorite. I love the DHA & probiotics. And that it is organic - which no one else made. This cereal is great because you add your own liquid - she liked apple juice with it - and we didn't even heat it up. She liked it cold. As she got older I would mash up some bananas it in too.

I love this oatmeal. My baby had dairy allergies so that I had to eliminate all milk products from my diet while I was nursing him. He would have really bad diarheaa whenever I had anything that had even a small amount of milk in it. Shortly after I started feeding this cereal to him, he stopped having that adverse reaction to milk. He has also been very healthy. He's almost 1.5 now and has only been sick once. I tried for my second daughter who were 7 months at the time. I usually make babyfood while I am cooking for the rest of my family and me, but this was a good choice when you do not have time or you are on a run and still wants to provide your little one healthy organic food. She liked everything but Bollywood Baby. I am an Asian and like curry spice, but I did not like this when I tasted it either. You can not find corn baby food in the grocery stores in the states and it takes time to make my own corn puree so I was happy to get that. I would buy again if it is discounted price, but I think this product is overpriced.

On a different note, they thaw overnight and you can put the microwavable container for about 30 seconds to warm them up for the babies when it's time to eat.

After reading the good reviews, I decided to try. My baby is 10 months and he is still nursing, eating cereal, finger foods, yogurt, apple sauce, small pieces of fruit, organic gerber and earthbest baby food. This is my experience with tastybaby:



- They left the package in the porch, and stayed there for at least 3 hours till I got home. The food seemed to still be frozen though.

- The expiration date in some of the baby food boxes is one month from the date I received them.

- My baby did not like any of them so far.........and the squash we tried yesterday was quite bad even for me. It is tasteless and in "clumps" that are swimming in water.

- Warning: they use spices/condiments in a heavy way, and that masks the natural taste of food, hence, defeats the purpose of introducing new foods one by one and getting used to natural taste of foods.



Overall, an expensive beautiful idea that did not work.... My 3 year old did not go for it either.

Tasty Baby is a big hit with my Son. I started him on food at 9 months and Breast fed till 11 months. I tried Gerber, Earths best amongst many other Organic Brands out there. He likes all greens, which I began him on...and then moved on to colored veggies and then fruits. I like the combinations Tasty Baby offers. They are different from the others, and offer a nice variety to the mix.



I am a working mom, so only make homemade on weekends. Tastybaby when left in the fridge to defrost could be snacked on cold, maybe toddler age...but warms easy in boiling water (Just drop the cantainer in for 3-4 minutes...or even microwave for 30 seconds...)



The only one, my son wasn't a fan of was the corn. This could be an issue if you do not have anyone else to give it to, because you will be stuck with 5 other containers. Gerber Organic Butternut Squash and Corn Combo is his alternative choice. BANGOS (bananas & mangos)and SWEETIE PIE (apple and sweet potatoe) were his favorites for Tasty baby. I purchased the sample pack to try them all and see what he liked.



Just remember the more choices and different foods, your child is exposed to the better chance of him eating well in the future.

I thought this baby food was delicious (I try everything I give my baby), my daughter on the other hand, hated it. Not only did she hate the lentil and split pea, which I could have guessed, but she hated all the flavors except the Apple-Pear, and this from a kid who will eat anything. Our attempts at Petite Palate were the first time I have ever seen her shut her mouth tight and simply refuse.



The packaging is also difficult, it's terrible for travel and falls apart if you heat it. Plus those little enviro-friendly paper cups are delivered in a huge styrofoam cooler so I'm pretty sure you're not saving any whales by picking this baby food.



Add to all that the expense, and Petite Palate is just not worth it. There's plenty of other organic baby food out there that's better, cheaper, and easier to bring with you.
